Head of Data and Insights
Tim is the Head of Data and Insights at Virgin Atlantic and leads data transformation across the airline. In 2018, he was named Information Age’s Data Leader of the Year and Top 100 Most Influential Data Leaders in the UK by DataIQ.
A third culture kid, Tim was born in Singapore, spent formative years in the USA, and now lives in leafy Surrey, UK. He has previously worked at technology firms such as Microsoft and Expedia and has a BS in Business from Indiana University and an MA in Sociology from the University of Washington.
Tim is an advocate for diversity and inclusion in technology and data and was instrumental in organising Expedia’s first entry into Pride in London, and setting up Virgin Atlantic’s LGBTQ+ group, G-VPRD. On weekends, he can be found running in the countryside with his labrador, Lemon, on his bike across the Surrey Downs or making bespoke ice cream flavours
