Sundiatu is a Senior Client Development Advisor in McKinsey & Company’s recently-created Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) service line. Under sponsorship from senior leaders at the Firm, the service line supports clients in designing and delivering tailored strategies to capture the benefits of diversity as a business performance enabler, through increasing representation of diverse talent and fostering inclusiveness. Sundiatu co-leads our Firm’s “Diversity Matters” research effort on the link between diversity and financial performance, and works with our senior Partner leadership to engage widely on the topic with clients, external partners and internal client service teams.

Sundiatu has 15 years of experience as a management consultant at the Firm, most recently as a Senior Healthcare Expert serving clients in our Health Systems and Services (HSS) and Pharma and Medical Products (PMP) sectors. Most recently she has supported health systems develop strategies to deliver quality and productivity improvements through service redesign and patient engagement. She has also helped pharma players improve outcomes and increase market access through innovative payment models and delivering ‘beyond the pill’ services.Prior to joining McKinsey, Sundiatu worked with Novartis Consumer Health as a Senior Project Manager in drug development, and with Geneva University Hospital as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Sundiatu obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Geneva in Switzerland, and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, with First class honours, from Imperial College London.
