Born in Algeria as Youcef, Sue Nabi always possessed a passion for both beauty and business; science and imagination; the real and unreal; and, most essentially, a fierce sense of knowing, intrinsically, who she is. Her vision, ambition, degree in Engineering and MBA from ESSEC, Paris Business School - coupled with charisma and kindness - led to Nabi’s almost meteoric rise in one of the world's greatest beauty giants: L’Oréal.

As the youngest CEO in L’Oréal’s history, Nabi not only drove double-digit growth, taking the company to surpass the €4 billion mark during her four-year reign, but, in addition to the launch of blockbuster, bestselling lines, championed diversity in beauty - across age, gender, and ethnicities. Her visionary success led to her next role as President of Lancôme, where she reinvented the brand through marketing prowess and her innate ability to - beyond profit - bring innovation to brands. Her launch of La vie est belle, with Julia Roberts as its face, is heralded as the best perfume launch in history - and remains a Top 3 best-selling perfume worldwide.

In 2013, Nabi reinvented a different brand: this time, herself. Healthy lifestyle choices, as well as the influence of Taoism, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Biotechnology inspired her latest venture: Orveda, which she co-founded with Nicolas Vu. Strongly underpinned by a furtive belief in progress, in the combination of Nature and Science, and seen as a groundbreaking disruptor in high-end luxury skincare, Orveda is a green yet efficient, highly-concentrated skincare range, which Nabi refers to as "probably the best skin treatments in the world”. Working with skin, not against it, Orveda signals a breakthrough in skincare formulation and, essentially, the rise of a new, cleaner, greener and vegan era.
