Cynthia Castro is Co-Founder of Boomerang Effect, a Latin American company that builds business strategies to close gender and diversity gaps in nine countries in the region. She was elected as one of the most powerful women of Central America by Forbes and as Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.

Cynthia founded the gender equality and competitiveness program for the public and private sector, accomplishing the first certification of a Gender Equal Organization in Costa Rica. The program has had a positive impact on the lives of over 30.000 people that work in now more inclusive companies. Her work on sustainable development strategies has impacted over 45 communities in Costa Rica.

She is a cofounder of Mente en Acción, a program that has empowered over 600 girls to study STEM careers.

She was VP of Reinventing Business for All, CEO of ALAS and advisor for the government of Costa Rica. Cynthia is a psychologist with a Msc. Psychology of Economic Life at London School of Economics and Political Sciences and a Msc. in Human Development in Flacso Argentina.
