Antonio Zappulla is Chief Operating Officer at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the world’s leading news and information provider.
An outspoken supporter of the business case for LGBT rights, Antonio was ranked fourth in the 2017 OUTstanding list of public sector LGBT executives published by the Financial Times. That same year, he was also shortlisted as a finalist for the Out&Equal Champion Award.
Antonio co-chairs the Thomson Reuters Pride at Work Network and All Out, a leading LGBT human rights charity.
He has written about LGBT inclusion for the World Economic Forum, the Ethical Trading Initiative, Trust.org. and other international publications. He has also been quoted in a number of reports, including ‘Pride & Prejudice’ by the Economist.
Prior to his present role, Antonio was Executive Producer at Bloomberg Television in London in charge of news, factual programming and documentaries for Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he developed a number of Award-winning TV series distributed globally including ‘Eye to Eye with Francine Lacqua’.
Antonio holds a Degree in Journalism, and a Master’s Degree in Islam and Middle East studies. He is a member of the Pioneers Class at Stanford Graduate School of Business for the LEAD Programme in Corporate Innovation.
