Dr. Aneeta Rattan (She/Her)

Dr. Aneeta Rattan is an Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour at London Business School. Dr. Rattan received her BA at Columbia University, majoring in psychology and minoring in English literature. Dr. Rattan then completed her PhD and postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
At London Business School, Dr. Rattan teaches on the full-time MBA program (Global Leadership and Management, Managing Organizational Behavior), which affords her the opportunity to engage perspectives on issues of race, gender, and inequality around the globe. Dr. Rattan’s research investigates how individuals and organizations can effectively foster diversity and equality, with a focus on the experiences of women, racial minorities, and sexual orientation minorities. Her research has uncovered strategies for addressing overt bias when it occurs during workplace interactions. Her work has also identified mindsets (growth mindset, universal mindset) that promote belonging, commitment, and achievement among minorities and women facing implicit bias. Her research has also tested the effectiveness of different communication styles around diversity, showing the importance of emphasizing change in the face of entrenched bias against sexual orientation minorities.
Dr. Rattan’s research has been published in top academic journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology and she has received major research grants from a range of public and private foundations.
Dr. Rattan has also been a contributor to major media outlets such as the New York Times and National Public Radio, and her work has been featured in news outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, Huffington Post, and Slate Magazine.
